Mar Baselios College of Nursing, Bhopal was established in the year 2009. It was the result of team work and dedication of the members of the Bhopal Malankara Catholic Association under the eminent leadership and long vision of His Excellency Dr. Jacob Mar Barnabas, the Apostolic Visitator, MCC ETRI (Now known as St. John Chrysostom, Diocese of Gurgaon) and the strenuous efforts of Rev. Fr. Thomas Malancharuvil, Vice President of Bhopal Malankara Catholic Association and Rt. Rev. Msgr. Daniel Kuzhithadathil Corepiscopo, the Director of Education, MCC ETRI. The efforts they put along with the support of the entire team of MCC ETRI led to the establishment of this institution, which is the first Nursing College under a Catholic Management in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
The official inauguration was done on 1 October 2009 by the Chairman, His Excellency Dr. Jacob Mar Barnabas. Like all great institutions, Mar Baselios had a humble beginning and in the last 16 years it has become an institution to reckon with, it is recognized as one among the best Nursing Colleges in the state. Students of the pioneer batches of the institution passed out in flying colours and are well placed in reputed hospitals of the various states of the country and abroad.
