INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY

“BEING A NURSE MEANS TO HOLD ALL YOUR OWN TEARS AND START DRAWING SMILES ON PEOPLE’S FACE”

Mar Baselios College of Nursing celebrated “International Nurses Day” on 12th May 2023 in the College auditorium. This year, the International Council of Nurses commemorated this important day with the theme “ OUR NURSES OUR FUTURE”. The program was hosted by the B.Sc Nursing students , Ms. Rajeena Stanely and Ms. Ananya Wilson.

The Program started with a prayer song followed by lighting the Lamp by the dignitaries. Ms. Sneha Mathews, student of B.Sc (N) IV year welcomed all the guests. After that message of the day was delivered by Rev. Dr. Reni Mudampally, Director, MBCON in which he appreciated all the students who took Nursing as their profession . Later cake cutting was done by the dignitaries to mark 203rd birth anniversary of the Pioneer of Nursing, fondly known as, Lady with the Lamp, “FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE”. Prof. Ranjitha Rajesh, Principal, MBCON, gave an inspiring message based  on the current nurses day theme highlighted the role of nurses as well as the efforts they took  during Covid-19  pandemic. Ms. Sheryl Joy, student of B.Sc. Nursing III year delivered a speech based on the current nurses day theme  2023. The event came to an end with the vote of thanks by Ms. Britina Joseph, student of B.Sc Nursing IV year followed by college anthem.
